Mark Whittaker is a 20 plus year veteran of the AV and VC/UC world.  He spent the beginning of his career in recording studios in New York City after he graduated from U Mass Lowell’s Sound Recording Technology program. The studio life proved too slow for Mark, and he hopped to the AV/UC space in November of 2001 where he got his start at a local mom and pop shop in the Boston, MA area.  Mark dabbled for a bit in home theater installs for a time but came back to the commercial space to work for Videre Conferencing for the next 15 years.  After many acquisitions, Videre/Providea/SPS/Converge One grew from a small 15 person Boston based company to becoming the video team in an international stalwart. 15 years of doing every job and holding every position imaginable within the AV/UC space, Mark joined Lenovo to get on top of the wave of the Microsoft Teams Room, Zoom Room, and Google Meet Room that has been growing for years.

In addition to all of this, Mark had been an Adjunct Faculty Member at U Mass Lowell in the Sound Recording Technology Program since 2002.   Recently retired from U Mass –While Mark has retired from teaching at the college level – his passion for educating others remains.
